CNTS Mission
For the time being, new principles for the formation and coordination of state policy in the field of transport have to be introduced and conditions to ensure monitoring of the quality of functions performed by relevant executive authorities have to be established. The transport industry of Ukraine has a low level of development of transport and logistics technologies and multimodal transhipment facilities, which reduces its competitiveness and imposes constraints on provision of Ukrainian products to the world transport market. High costs of transport operations make for about 40% of the total cost of products.

Unfortunately, none of the Ukrainian commercial sea ports is in the Top 100 largest ports in the world in terms of volumes of container processing. Multimodal and intermodal carriage of goods in Ukraine comprises only 0.5% of the transport market. As per this indicator, Ukraine is left far behind the EU states and other developed countries of the world by 20-30 times.

In order to maximize the use of the transport potential of Ukraine, in particular as a transit country, it is important to create a client-oriented system of transport service provision and take measures to ensure effective organization of the transport complex performance as well as obtain a synergy effect from the efficient combination of existing potential and opportunities of all transport modes on the basis of partnership and fair competition.
